23 – AWFS in Las Vegas 2007 (Part 1 of 2)

This video was originally published on July 29, 2007 & was never added to YouTube…until today!

It’s been a week since the AWSF show in Vegas and I am still hyped up about the experience. Hanging out with the woodworking elite and meeting all the Wood Whisperer fans was incredible. Nicole and I would like to thank everyone who introduced themselves. This video gives you an inside look at AWSF 2007. We have live demonstrations from David Marks, Scott Phillips, and Mike Heavey. I will apologize ahead of time for the audio quality. You would not believe the amount of ambient noise in a place like that! But sometimes words are just not needed. You’ll know what I mean when you see me chatting with the one and only Norm Abram.

AWFS Fair 2015 Las Vegas

I had the opportunity to visit the AWFS fair here in Las Vegas and it was definitely a cool experience. I decided to do some filming while I was there so those who weren’t able to make it could still see what went on. The show basically covered the whole gamut of woodworking. From massive industrial CNC machines who’s sole purpose for existing is to pump out particle board furniture faster than you can blink, to absolutely stunning displays of fine woodworking and wood turning. I had an awesome time, got to meet up with Kyle Toth for a bit, and even got my hands on a brand new General 17″ 3/4 hp drill press! Thanks to my good friend and instructor Jamie Yocono from Wood It Is studio here Las Vegas for getting me the pass. Thank you for watching and please remember to like, share, comment, and subscribe!
